This project was more of an idea as I stopped working on it at a very early stage. The smart home with a single dashboard. Knowing the proper state of affairs and alerting on some of the following events:
- Everybody’s out, doors are closed but one is not locked
- … and the oven is still on.
- The water hose broke and the water flows out at unusual rates for some time now
- … or the pipe leaked and is just dripping but the water rate doesn’t get down to zero for hours.
- You are at work, but the fire broke in the house (adding remote alarm notification)
So on and so forth. Every irregularity that you care about, which you’d normally notice and resolve if you are around, but which would be bothering you when you are away.
